The Lodge has 6 bedrooms in the main house. All 4 bedrooms on the second floor have a queen size bed and a single bed.   This allows for double or triple occupancy in each room. One room, on the second floor has a double and a single, one room on the main floor, has a double bed only.

Two of the four bedrooms share the two full baths on the second floor.  The other two bedrooms share the full bath and powder room on the first floor.

What is your cancellation policy?

All cancellations must be in writing.  The Lodge will retain a fee, of $50 per room, for cancellations received 15 days in advance of arrival.  If a cancellation is received 14 days or less before arrival, an amount equal to one night’s stay per room will be forfeited, and retained as a cancellation fee.

What is your payment policy?

We accept Visa and MasterCard by phone, cheques by mail.  Please make cheques payable to “The Lodge on Amherst Island”.  There is a $25 charge for cheques returned for any reason.

Do you provide Breakfast or meals during our stay?

We do not provide meals or breakfast here at The Lodge.  We have a well appointed kitchen with all the equipment here for you to use.  We will consider catering for large groups; this will be arranged with a separate written catering agreement.  We will also require a separate catering deposit.

Are there stores on the island?

The Island has a small general stores, offering a limited selection .  All food, alcohol and gas will need to purchased before you arrive on the island.  There are also no bank machines on the island.

Is there a fridge for food storage and a stove in the kitchen?

There are 2 fridges in The Lodge kitchen, one will be completely empty for your use during your stay here at The Lodge. There is one stove and two ovens in the main kitchen the stove is gas.

Can I bring my dog?

                We are sorry to say that The Lodge does not allow pets.  We will allow guide dogs.

There are NO dogs or pets allowed at the Lodge, we have had a problem with this lately.  So we have decided there will be a $500.00 charge if guests show up with a dog or pet...if they choose to leave and not pay the fee, there will be no refund of the monies paid for the reservation.

Does The Lodge have boats to rent?

                The Lodge does not have any water crafts for use or rental.

Does The Lodge have bikes we can use?

The Lodge does not have bikes here for use or rental; if you are able to bring your own bikes we do have a place for you to store them during your stay.

Can we drink the water at The Lodge?

All the water here at The Lodge is treated and filtered.  All in door taps are filtered; we do not filter or treat water to the outside bibs.

Can we go swimming when we are at The Lodge?

The Lodge is on a point to land, we have water access on 2 sides of the property.  To the front of the building there is the Bay of Quinte, there are stone steps down to the water.  To the rear of the Lodge there is a beach area on Stella Bay.  We suggest you bring water shoes as the water is somewhat weedy.  Please also bring your own beach towels.

Do I need to bring my own sheets and towels?

The Lodge supplies all the linens you will need during your stay here with us.  We supply the sheets on the beds, and a set of towels for each guest to use during your stay.

Do I have to take a boat to the island?

There is a public ferry that runs from 6:30am to 1:30am to the island.  This ferry runs every hour on the ½ hour from the mainland to the island i.e.: 7:30am, 8:30am and so on.  The ferry runs from the island to the mainland from 6:00am to 1:00am.  This runs every hour on the hour i.e. 6:00am, 7:00am and so on.  The ferry will cost you $9.00 for the return trip.  Please bring cash as the ferry crew does not accept credit cards or debit cards.

Can we bring tents and camp on the property?

                The Lodge does not allow camping on the property.

The living room accommodates large gatherings or intimate conversations. The multi-purpose sun porch allows for all kinds of studio work, games or dancing. The family room overlooks Stella Bay.  The dining room easily seats 4 - 16 people. There is a stone patio (off the studio) overlooks Stella Bay and the grounds.
